ForgeFlow fully embraces the Demand Driven Adaptive Enterprise Model

Jordi Ballester Alomar, DDP Instructor

We are proud to announce that as of January 2019, the ForgeFlow Demand Driven software has achieved all the available software compliance levels set by the Demand Driven Institute.

ForgeFlow has been Demand Driven MRP Compliant since 2018. At this moment 28 software providers are DDMRP Compliant, including large software vendors such as SAP

As of December 2019, ForgeFlow achieved the Demand Driven Sales & Operations Planning (DDS&OP) compliance by the Demand Driven Institute. See this blog post related to the announcement.

Finally, as of January 2020, ForgeFlow also received the Demand Driven Operating Model compliance

Only 1 other software vendor in the market offers you the 3 levels of compliance and ForgeFlow is the only one to fully embed the features into an ERP, in our case Odoo, with no need for external integrations.

This sets ForgeFlow as the ideal choice for a company that would want to fully embrace the Demand Driven Adaptive Enterprise Model.

The Demand Driven Adaptive Enterprise Model comprises 3 components: The Demand Driven Operating Model, Demand Driven Sales & Operations Planning and Adaptive S&OP.

Demand Driven Operating Model (DDOM) is a supply order generation, operational scheduling and execution model utilizing actual demand in combination with strategic decoupling and control points and stock, time and capacity buffers in order to create a predictable and agile system that promotes and protects the flow of relevant information and materials within the operational relevant range (hourly, daily and weekly).  A DDOM’s key parameters are set through the Demand Driven Sales & Operations Planning (DDS&OP) process to meet the stated business and market objectives while minimizing working capital and expedite-related expenses.

Demand Driven Sales & Operations Planning (DDS&OP) takes the business plan parameters (like sales forecasts, new warehouse availability, etc..) from the Adaptive S&OP component, and configures the Demand Driven Operating Model (DDOM) by means of setting the model parameters (such as buffers, buffer settings, demand adjustment factors), that define the capabilities to achieve expected results.

Demand Driven Sales & Operations Planning (DDS&OP)  helps to align your corporate strategy with the operational horizon. It allows to simulate various scenarios based on the business plan parameters and use the planned model parameters to evaluate the impact on the company's capacities and financials. This scenario-based modelling allows planners to identify options for their tactical planning and recommend and implement changes to the Operating Model.
